Weave

from $3,500.00

Diamond Beach, known in Icelandic as Breiðamerkursandur or its nickname Fellsfjara, is covered with small icebergs that were once part of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and have floated out to sea and washed back up on shore. It’s a magical place that glitters in the sunlight. Many of the icebergs are clear or white, but some are shades of blue. I was drawn to the blue ice which is older and denser, containing less air. I felt like I was looking back in time, marveling at the idea that I was looking at something whose age I could only guess.
