The Watchman

from $3,500.00

The Watchman is a 6,545 foot (1995m) tall sandstone mountain at the Southern edge of Zion National Park. It is unclear where the name originated but it is believed the name was given because the mountain stands as a watchman guarding the south entrance of the park. Early pioneers, however, referred to the mountain as Flanigan Peak because the Flanigan family homestead was at its base.
